If you are a recruiting word nerd like me, you might find this data from Google Trends interesting.
I took 3 common recruiting phrases (Recruitment Marketing, Employer Branding and Talent Acquisition) and looked at how many Google searches there have been over the last 5 years.
It turns out that 5 years ago, Recruitment Marketing was #1, Employer Branding was #2 and Talent Attraction was #3.
Over the last 5 years, that has flip-flopped and the term “Talent Acquisition” is pulling away as the clear leader.
Talent Acquisition = Blue trend line
Employer Branding = Red trend line
Recruitment Marketing= Yellow trend line
