Since May 2022, when a memo previewing the “predicted” ruling was leaked, companies have been releasing statements promising to extend their benefits packages to include travel (and other expenses incurred) for employees seeking abortion (and reproductive care) outside their home state.

Following the official Supreme Court ruling on June 24, that list of organizations has grown.

In this article, you’ll find:

  • a list of 60+ companies offering benefits for abortion access
  • statements on abortion access benefits from some of the most prominent brands in the U.S.

The main themes are about equality and inclusivity, focusing on providing equitable healthcare benefits to all. Here are a few of those statements:

We have expanded the list of medical treatments that are eligible for travel expense reimbursement. This list will now include cancer treatment, organ transplants at centers of excellence, reproductive health care including abortion, and hospital admissions for mental health conditions.

Adobe

It is a crushing blow to reproductive rights that have been protected for nearly half a century.

H&M

Today’s SCOTUS ruling puts women’s health in jeopardy, denies them their human rights, and threatens to dismantle the progress we’ve made toward gender equality in the workplace since Roe.

Jeremy Stoppelman, CEO Yelp

We know that many Amazonians are experiencing strong emotions following the recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling. As a company with 1.6 million employees, there are a lot of different viewpoints on this topic across our team, and we work to be respectful of everyone’s perspectives while also taking care of and supporting our employees’ personal medical needs.

Amazon

Restricting a woman’s ability and choices in obtaining health care is inequitable and harmful to the advancement of women.

Antonio Neri, CEO HPE

It doesn’t matter what you believe, it doesn’t matter where you live, it’s about access to health care.

Sara Kelly, VP Starbucks

We believe that access to safe and legal abortion is absolutely critical to keeping women and those with female assigned reproductive systems healthy and empowered to make their own choices about their future, and to pursue their missions and ambitions.
