In case you missed it, San Francisco gaming company Kixeye put their stake in the ground this week with an explosive video mocking their rival — it’s probably the fastest growing recruiting video we’ve seen.

THe video is from the perspective of a job applicant on an interview with what appears to be Zynga (who they call “Janka”), EA (EAARP) and Kabam (Kerpoop).

They’ve experienced north of 138K viewers and 450+ comments in 48 hours. See for yourself:

We haven’t seen a recruiting video before that so directly berates competitors — it surely goes viral and we expect to see this inspire similar recruiting videos from other employers.

Kixeye Says The Negative Ad’s Results Are “Off The Hook”

Our contacts at Kixeye tell us that the inbound interest from candidates is “off the hook,” though it remains to be seen how effective this type of recruiting video is at attracting top talent.

We’ll let you know if any A-Player hires result from it.

What do you think of this approach? Would it attract you?

But, hey, this isn’t anything new in the world of advertising — The Washington Post recently said that negative ads in the political industry have 10Xed in the last year. Did you see Obama blasting Romney in this one:
