Rob began his love of business early, attending his first shareholder & board meetings when he was 16 years old.

Rob has 22 years experience leading tech-related businesses, including two CEO roles before Ongig: Hot Topic Media LLC (the #1 provider of dating advice) and Mojam Media Inc., a concert listing service he founded and sold to Wolfgang’s Vault in 2007).

Rob has also served on the founding advisory boards of successful tech businesses such as Inflection LLC (which recently sold Archives.com to Ancestry.com for $100 Million+), Hyperink Inc. (a new e-book marketplace funded by Andreesen Horowitz and others) and Harmony Central Inc. (the #1 Web site for musicians).

Rob previously held executive business positions at Topica Inc. (email marketing platform) and CMP Media (which was sold to UBM for $920 million). Before that, Rob was a journalist for CMP’s Information Week, the largest information technology magazine, where he interviewed Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and other tech/business leaders.

Rob’s is the author of An Enlightened Entrepreneur: 57 Meditations  On Kicking @$$ In Business & Life and his business advice blog has received more than 500,000 unique visitors since 2010.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Economics from the University of Bridgeport.  His education includes Stanford University’s Professional Publishing Course (he was awarded “Best Business Plan”), Harvard Law School (Negotiations) and Syracuse University’s International Business Program in London.

Jason Webster, Vice President of Sales (pictured on the left)

Jason is a 17 year veteran of recruiting, having spent 16 of those years working for Allegis Group, the largest privately held staffing company in the U.S. ($5.6 billion in annual revenue).

He most recently headed up the San Francisco offices of TEKsystems where he led a 38-person team that generated over $30 million in revenue in 2010

Jason began his career at Aerotek (also an Allegis company), the largest clinical/scientific staffing company in the U.S. (Staffing Industry Analysts) with 70,000 technical professionals supporting I.T. engagements for 5,500 clients. Jason headed up 4 different offices for Aerotek as Director Of Business Operations.

Jason is recognized as an expert in the area of social media recruiting: he created the influential Social Recruiting Report blog in November 2009 and speaks regularly at Internet recruiting events such as the Social Recruiting Strategies Conference.

Jason graduated Central Michigan University with a Bachelors of Science in Political Science.

Kevin Lanik, Lead Engineer (pictured on the right)

Kevin has served as an enterprise-level software engineer for more than 8 years. He was most recently Systems Engineer for Jackbe Corp., a leading provider of Business Intelligence software used by Qualcomm, NASA, the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army.

Before Jackbe, Kevin was Systems Engineer for Autonomy Corp.,  a leading enterprise information management company acquired by H-P for $11.7 billion in 2011. Kevin began his career as a computer engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center.

Kevin is also recognized as an expert at APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and his creation of the FourSquare mobile application SingleSquare earned him an invitation to demo at the “App Circus” of the popular South by Southwest Interactive conference in Austin, Texas in 2011.

Kevin’s is well versed in the APIs of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn as well as the iPhone Software Development Kit and HTML5.

Kevin graduated the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Computer and Telecommunications, and was a National Merit semifinalist for the Scholastic Aptitude Test (earning a perfect score on the Writing portion of his SATs).
